Abstract

During Covid-19, learning must continued by implementing a learning from home program. SIMPeL 12 as website learning was used at SMA Negeri 12 Semarang, so that students can continue to carry out learning. The aims of this study are: (1) To find out the problems of using the SIMPeL 12 learning website in geography subjects at SMA Negeri 12 Semarang. (2) Know the result of studying geography at SMA Negeri 12 Semarang. (3) Determine the effect of problematic use of the SIMPeL 12 learning website on the learning outcomes of geography at SMA Negeri 12 Semarang. The population of this research is students from grade X IPS SMA Negeri 12 Semarang with 64 sample students. The type oft his research is a descriptive quantitative research. The variables in this study are the problems of using the SIMPeL 12 learning website as variable X and the learning outcomes of geography as the variable Y. The method used to collect data in the form of: questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique used statistical descriptive analysis and simple linear regression. The result showed that the problematic use of SIMPel 12 learning website in geography subject was, on average included in the “high” criteria with an average percentage of 68,1%. Internal factors consist of indicators of interest and readiness, motivation and family. Meanwhile, external factors consist of indicators of access and flexibility, facilities and infrastructure, costs, and geography learning materials. The result of studying geography showed that as many as 42 students did not reach the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM). The problematic effect of using the SIMPeL 12 learning website on the learning outcomes of geography is 25%, while 75% is caused by other factors not explained in this study. Suggestion put forward by researchers to educators are for more intense attention is needed to students when carrying out learning using the SIMPeL 12 learning website. For students it is recommended to further improve their self-concept so that they always have a positive attitude so that in carrying out all they feel enthusiastic in participating in learning use the website, can understand the material easily, and can improve learning outcomes.
