Abstract

Sempor reservoir is one of the places to accommodate water formed from a collection of rivers or swamps that are used as tourism places. This study aims to: (1) determine the level of education of tourists in the Sempor Reservoir Tourism Object. (2) Measuring the level of knowledge of tourists in the Sempor Reservoir Tourism Object. (3) Knowing the behavior of tourists in disposing of waste at the Sempor Reservoir Tourism Object. (4) 4. Analyzing the effect of education level on knowledge and behavior of tourists in disposing of waste at the Sempor Reservoir Kebumen Tourism Object. This type of research is a quantitative research. The population in this study were tourists and tour managers with a sample of 72 people. Methods of data collection using a questionnaire/questionnaire, observation, and documentation. The data analysis technique used descriptive statistical analysis with descriptive percentages and simple linear regression analysis techniques. The results showed that: (1) The level of education of tourists taking high school education / equivalent with a total of 53 respondents from 72 respondents (2) the level of knowledge of tourists getting answers with very good criteria, reaching 69.4% (3) the behavior of tourists in disposing of garbage shows good results and waste management facilities have entered the standard waste management process (4) the results of statistical calculations show that the level of education does not affect the knowledge of tourists in disposing of waste because the regression value is 12.8%. Suggestions in this study tourists are expected to apply high knowledge to pay more attention to the environmental cleanliness of the Sempor Reservoir Tourism Object from garbage such as throwing garbage in its place.
