Abstract

An alternative that can be used to improve student learning outcomes and the class to be more active is the learning process using a component in the form of learning media. The TikTok @INFOBMKG video learning media was chosen to deliver Geography learning materials effectively and attract students. The objectives of this study: 1) Describe the implementation of the use of TikTok @INFOBMKG video learning media, 2) Analyze how effective the use of TikTok @InfoBMKG video learning media is in improving student learning outcomes in class XI IPS SMAN 2 Bae Kudus. The type of research used is quantitative, with a quasi-experimental method (Quasi-Experiment). The population of this study was all students of class XI IPS, with samples of Class XI IPS 3 (experimental class) and Class XI IPS 4 (control class). Data collection techniques in the form of tests, questionnaires, observations, and documentation. The data analysis technique used is Descriptive Percentage Analysis, Independent Sample T-Test, and N-Gain Score Test. Based on the research results, the implementation of geography learning consists of three components: planning, implementation, and learning assessment. The planning stage is in the form of the results of the Syllabus and RPP questionnaire assessments included in the "Very Good" criteria. The implementation stage, student learning activities, and the use of the TikTok @InfoBMKG video media have the criteria "Very Good". The results of the student response questionnaire assessment obtained 77.78% with the requirement "High". In the learning assessment stage, the Pre-Test and Post-Test scores in the experimental class were 48 and 84, while in the control class were 41 and 50. The t-test analysis showed the difference in the average learning outcomes in the experimental and control classes with a significance value of 0.000 <0.05. The ngain analysis shows that the average value of n-gain in the experimental class gets a value of 0.685 with the "Medium" criteria. The average n-gain in the control class with PowerPoint (PPT) media got a value of 0.153 with the "Low" criteria. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that the TikTok @InfoBMKG video learning media is more effective in improving student learning outcomes than power point media (PPT). Suggestions submitted by students can participate in enlivening creativity in the TikTok application in educating each other, especially natural disaster mitigation materials and teachers can continue to improve creativity skills in making videos through TikTok so that learning outcomes are maximized.
