Abstract

The ability of more than a teacher is required in learning when the school is designated as a Sekolah Penggerak because the management carried out by that school is more than that of other schools. Teachers must be able to use and develop history learning media with their creativity so that learning can be achieved optimally. The objectives of this study are (1) knowing the history learning media used by teachers at the Sekolah Penggerak, (2) analyzing the development of history learning media at the Sekolah Penggerak, (3) analyzing the obstacles faced by history teachers in developing learning media at SMA N 1 Karangtengah and SMA N 1 Mranggen as Sekolah Penggerak. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study strategy. The locations of this study are SMA Negeri 1 Karangtengah and SMA Negeri 1 Mranggen. The source of research data comes from primary and secondary data sources. Data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. Test the validity using technique triangulation and source triangulation. Data analysis uses interactive analysis, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing/verification. The results of this study are that (1) the learning media used by the teacher are PowerPoint, videos, quizziz, concept maps, pictures, and the surrounding environment. In the use of media, history teachers pay attention to several criteria in the selection of media to be used. (2) The creativity of history teachers in the development of learning media is carried out by searching the internet and with two patterns, namely own patterns and group patterns, where there are teachers who how to develop their own media and some by working together with colleagues. The media used in history learning has many benefits. (3) The obstacles experienced by history teachers in using learning media are infrastructure that is not supportive, and obstacles in media development are time (teaching time and media development), media adjustment to student characteristics, and factors limiting the use of technology.
