Abstract

This research uses descriptive qualitative research. Data collection techniques used interviews, observations, questionnaires as supporting data, and document review. Testing the validity of the data using data source triangulation and method triangulation. Data analysis using interactive analysis consists of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions/verification. The object of research is in Class X IPS 1 SMA N 2 Cepu, with 35 students as respondents but 17 students are taken because they only take students who live in Cepu District. The results showed (1) students in Bandura's theory were still in the imitation stage, meaning that students were in the stage of observing objects, (2) students in Darmiyati's theory were in the translating stage, meaning that students were able to narrate events into their own language, (3 ) students are in the stage of imitating or imitating the Arya Penangsang character in a positive way. The conclusion of this study is that students are able to understand the events of the political upheaval of the Demak Kingdom with Arya Penangsang, although only partially. For suggestions, there is a need for classroom learning about local history, especially in the history of specialization in Indonesian historiography material
