Abstract

Distance Learning that must be implemented as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic requires teachers to take appropriate learning innovations, this is difficult because not only in the field of education but all fields are affected by Covid-19. Adaptation of learning models is felt to be very necessary so that the material and achievements that have been compiled can be implemented and achieved optimally. The formulation of the problem of this research is whether there is an effect of applying the project based blended learning model to students' critical thinking skills. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of applying the projectbased blended learning model to students' critical thinking skills. This research uses quantitative research through a quasi-experimental method (quasi-experimental) which has a pre-post test design in two classes. The population in this study were all students of XI SMA N Kebakkramat. The samples used were students of XI IPS 4 as the experimental class and XI IPS 1 as the control class. Data collection techniques used in the form of tests, observation sheets, and documentation. The analysis technique used is descriptive percentage and simple linear regression analysis. The results showed that the experimental class had higher critical thinking skills than the control class. Judging from the descriptive percentage data, the experimental class obtained a percentage value of 67.90% in the "good" category while the control class obtained a percentage value of 55.32% with the "less" category. The result of simple linear regression analysis Y = 15,214+1,284X. The results of the N-gain analysis showed that the experimental class showed an average of 47.9911% in the "medium" category while the control class results showed an average of 20.8147% in the "low" category. The suggestion proposed is that the application of project-based blended learning can be used by teachers in the learning process as an effort to improve students' critical thinking skills, especially in epidemic situations by developing and using media that are more familiar and often used.
