Abstract

To become a professional teacher, the teacher must have several competencies. Competencies that must be possessed by teachers are pedagogic, personality, professional, and social competencies. However, pedagogic competence is the distinguishing competence between teachers and other professions. Because pedagogic competence is the ability of teachers to manage learning which consists of the ability to develop lesson plans, carry out learning and carry out assessments. Pedagogic competence must be possessed by all teachers, including history teachers. As a result of the Corona virus that is endemic in Indonesia, the implementation of learning in Indonesia is carried out online. However, as the transmission of the Corona virus has decreased in Indonesia, the government has allowed limited face-to-face learning. In the implementation of learning in the new normal era, there are differences from learning before the Covid-19 pandemic. From the background of the problem, the formulation of the problem in this research are: (1) how is the pedagogic competence of the history teacher at SMK Negeri 1 Karanganyar, Karanganyar district? (2) How is the implementation of teaching history teachers at SMK Negeri 1 Karanganyar, Karanganyar district? (3) how is the implementation of history teacher learning at SMK Negeri 1 Karanganyar in the new normal era for the 2021/2022 school year?. With the formulation of the problem, the benefit of this research is to determine the pedagogical competence of history teachers at SMK Negeri 1 Karanganyar, especially in the implementation of learning in the new normal era. This study used qualitative research methods. The location of this research is in SMK Negeri 1 Karanganyar, Karanganyar district. Qualitative research was chosen because it was to understand the description of the pedagogical competence of history teachers during the pandemic by descriptive in the form of words in the language, in a special natural context and by utilizing various scientific methods. Techniques in collecting data in this study used several techniques, namely: (1) observation (2) in-depth interview (3) documentation study. The results of this study indicate that the history teachers of SMK Negeri 1 have pedagogic competence in the new normal era. In preparing learning plans and implementing assessments in the new normal era, there is no difference between before the pandemic and during the new normal era. While in the implementation of learning there are differences. The most striking difference in the implementation of learning before the pandemic and the implementation of learning in the new normal era is the use of learning media that must be based on technology.
