Abstract

Curriculum changes are not new in the world of education, in August 2020 Kemdikbud launched a new curriculum, the Kurikulum Merdeka. Schools that have the right to implement this curriculum are schools that have passed the selection in the selection of Sekolah Penggerak, one of which is SMA Negeri 1 Boja. In the process of implementing the Kurikulum Merdeka, monitoring is needed to find out whether the implementation of learning has gone according to expectations. So the objectives of this study are (1) To describe the implementation process learning history in the Kurikulum Merdeka at the Sekolah Penggerak School of SMA Negeri 1 Boja; (2) To analyze obstacles found in implementation learning history in the Kurikulum Merdeka and (3) To know the efforts made by the teacher in resolve obstacle implementation Kurikulum Merdeka at Sekolah Penggerak of SMA Negeri 1 Boja. This study uses a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Boja with informants of class X history teachers, vice head of curriculum, and several students of class X. Data collection techniques used in this study were interviews, observation, and document review. Test the validity of the data using source triangulation and technique triangulation. The results of the study show that: (1) The implementation of history learning activities in the Kurikulum Merdeka at SMA Negeri 1 Boja has implemented a project-based learning model in accordance with the recommendations, but the learning activities have not fully met expectations; (2) The teacher finds several obstacles to implementation Kurikulum Merdeka in learning history that is difficulty in translate achievements learning, implementation learning done by the distance a far away, source study from the government not yet adequate, as well the minimum the knowledge possessed by the teacher; (3) Efforts made by the teacher to resolve obstacles faced that is with following socialization and in-house training, sharing with other teachers, as well as utilize various learning media and book old package as ingredient reference study students. Suggestions put forward in this study are: (1) History teachers are expected to carry out diagnostic assessments independently; (2) The school should hold socialization and re-simulation related to the Kurikulum Merdeka.
