Abstract

The purpose of this study is (1) analyzing the needs of history learning media for class X SMA N 2 Slawi lesson 2022/2023 (2) Knowing the development of reliefs of the story of Bubuksah Gagangaking Pendapa Teras Dua Candi Penataran in comic media as a medium for character education in learning history class X material on the spread of Hindu-Buddhist Religion in Indonesia SMA N 2 Slawi Academic year 2022/2023 (3) knowing the feasibility of powdery comic media Bubuksah Gagangaking as a character education media in class X history learning material on the spread of Hindu-Buddhist religion in Indonesia SMA N 2 Slawi Academic year 2022/2023. The method used in this study is Research and Development (R&D), with the ADDIE development model consisting of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. This research is divided into three stages, namely the preliminary stage with observation data collection techniques, questionnaires and interviews with data analysis in the form of descriptive quantitative and qualitative. In the development stage, this stage is carried out product validation tests by Material Experts, Learning Media Experts, and Learning Experts (history teachers) with quantitative and qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. The evaluation stage is carried out to test the validity and feasibility of products from students with quantitative gain score and descriptive test analysis techniques. The results of this study show (1) that the learning media used by the history teacher of SMA N 2 Slawi is in the form of Power Point, Youtube videos, and package books. The learning model used is monotonous, resulting in boring and less interesting history lessons, plus the development of learning media has never been carried out and there is no source of character education-based history learning media in schools so that it requires interesting character education-based learning media. (2) Development of Bubuksah Gagangaking comics using Adobe Photoshop and Canva applications. (3) the results of the validity test carried out in two stages showed Material Experts 96.7% Media Experts 84.3%, and Learning experts 100%. And got an average score of 93.7% in the "very decent" category. Small-scale tests an average percentage of 96% is "very feasible". And a large-scale test with a gain score calculation of 0.837 in the "high" category with a percentage n gain score of 83.7% is "very effective". The conclusion of this study is that the better the development of the comic media Bubuksah Gagangaking with the use according to suggestions, the better the results of the influence of the use of this media on the character of students.
