Abstract
Tolerance is an attitude that prohibits discrimination between different groups or is not accepted by the majority community. There is a tendency for acts of intolerance carried out by students in the environmental conditions of SMK Bina Bangsa Kersana which are in the diversity of Sundanese and Javanese cultures. So history learning in this case sees the problem from a pedagogical point of view, it is necessary to cultivate an attitude of tolerance through learning models related to character education, especially tolerance attitudes. The problem formulation of this research is how is the tolerance attitude of class X students at SMK Bina Bangsa Kersana?. How is the consideration learning model in history learning? Is there any effect of using the considering learning model on the attitude of tolerance in history learning at SMK Bina Bangsa Kersana? The purpose of this study based on these problems is to find out the description of students' tolerance attitude. Then it also aims to find out the description of the consideration learning model in history learning. Researchers suspect that there is an influence given from the use of the consideration learning model in history learning on students' tolerance attitudes. The research method used is quasi-experimental. With a non-randomized prettest-posttest control group design. Data collection techniques used are observation, attitude scale questionnaire, interviews and documentation. Data analysis tests (normality test, homogeneity test, paired sample t-test) were carried out with the help of the SPSS 25.0 program. The results of the study based on descriptive analysis, the tolerance attitude of class X students of SMK Bina Bangsa Kersana in the experimental group and the control group was included in the good category. The results of the post-test tolerance attitude questionnaire showed that the experimental group 85.89% was included in the very good rating category and the control group got 78.98% included in the good rating category. There is an influence given from the use of the consideration learning model in history learning on students' tolerance attitudes. The results of the paired sample test show a probability (Sig 2-tailed) 0.000 < 0.005 the difference in the average post-test value of the experimental and control groups shows a difference of 4.18%, it can be interpreted that the hypothesis is accepted. Suggestions for students to increase awareness of their tolerance attitude in order to create a good school social environment.
