Abstract

This study was motivated by the lack of Arabic textbooks for Homeschooling students. There are many students who want to learn Arabic but they are still constrained by Arabic textbooks which they think are too complicated. Therefore, the development of Arabic textbooks for homeschooling students is very much needed, so that the students more enthusiastic and easier in learning Arabic. The problems studied in this study are: (1) how to analyze the needs of tutors and students for Arabic textbooks for Homeschooling, (2) how to prototype Arabic textbooks for Homeschooling class VIII at PKBM Generation champion, (3) how to validate experts and tutors on Arabic textbooks for Homeschooling class VIII at PKBM Generation Champion. This study uses a type of qualitative research with research and development design (Reserch and Development). The research stages that were passed in this study only reached stage five of ten stages, namely potential and problems, data collection, product design, design validation, design revision. The results of this study as follows. First, the tutors and students want the development of Arabic textbooks for Homeschooling class VIII at PKBM Generation Champion which consists of four themes, namely ,يومياتنا, الهواية, الساعة المهنة .Second, the textbook prototype which developed with three parts includes (a) the physical textbook consisting of the shape and size of the textbooks, cover design, (b) the initial section, (c) the content section, consisting of vocabulary, material, grammar, and exercise. Third, the assessment on the feasibility aspect of the material or content gets 100, the presentation feasibility aspect gets a score of xii 99.9, the language aspect gets a score of 64 and the textbook feasibility aspect gets a score of 63.9. The overall score for the development aspect of this textbook is 327.8 with a decent category with a good predicate. So that it can be used for Arabic learning of Homeschooling class VIII at PKBM Generation Champion.
