Abstract

In learning French, there are four skills. One of them is reading skill. In learning reading skills, various learning media are needed. One of the media that can be used is digital comic based on webtoon. Digital comic media based on webtoon can have a positive influence in the learning process because there are interesting pictures and stories that can make more fun for students to understand a reading. This research aims to describe student learning outcomes in using digital comic based on webtoon and to determine effective or not digital comic media based webtoon are effective in learning reading skills. This study uses an experimental approach with a pre-test and post-test group design. The t-test technique was used for data analysis. The results of the t-test calculation showed 0.000 <0.05 indicating a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test scores. The average result of the pre-test score is 69.33 and the post-test average score is 83.67. Based on the results of the calculation of the N-Gain test, obtained an N-Gain of 0.47, then the increase in learning outcomes is categorized in the medium catego
