Abstract

Permasalahan yang dikaji dalam penelitian ini adalah adakah pengaruh sari buah mengkudu terhadap kadar glukosa darah pada penderita diabetes mellitus tipe II di Puskesmas Pandanaran Semarang. Tujuan dari penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh sari buah mengkudu terhadap kadar glukosa darah pada penderita diabetes mellitus tipe II di Puskesmas Pandanaran Semarang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimental kuasi dengan rancangan control group pre-test-post-test. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah penderita diabetes mellitus tipe II rawat jalan di Puskesmas Pandanaran Semarang. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan consecutive sampling yang berjumlah 26 orang yaitu 13 orang kelompok eksperimen dan 13 orang kelompok kontrol. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah hasil laboratorium kadar glukosa darah sewaktu dengan alat accutrend, formulir penjaringan sampel, timbangan injak, mikrotoa, serta peralatan dan bahan baku pembuatan sari buah mengkudu. Data diperoleh dari hasil wawancara dan pemeriksaan langsung. Analisis data dilakukan secara univariat dan bivariat (uji parametik dan Shapiro-Wilk dan t-tes tidak berpasangan). Dari hasil penelitian ini didapatkan ada perbedaan bermakna hasil selisih pretest-posttest pada kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol adalah p 0,0001 (< 0,05), maka hipotesis alternatif (Ha) diterima (hasil tersebut bermakna). Simpulan penelitian ini adalah ada perbedaan yang bermakna antara selisih nilai pretest-posttest pada kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Penderita diabetes mellitus tipe II disarankan mengkonsumsi sari buah mengkudu (Morinda citrifolia) dan rutin melakukan pemeriksaan kadar glukosa darah agar kadar glukosa darahnya tetap terkontrol. -----------------------------------------------------> The problems of this research are is there any difference the effect of noni juice toward blood glucose level in patients with type II diabetes mellitus in the Pandanaran health centre Semarang. The aim of the study is to determine the effect of noni juice toward blood glucose in patients with type II diabetes mellitus in the Pandanaran health centre Semarang. This research is a quasi experimental with pre-test – post-test control group design. Populations in this study were outpatients with type II diabetes mellitus in Pandanaran health center Semarang. The sampling technique was done with consecutive sampling amounted of 26 people, i.e. 13 people in the experimental group and 13 in the control group. These research instruments were laboratory results of blood glucose levels with accutrend, sample netting forms, body weights, and microtoise, also equipment and raw materials for making noni fruit juice. The data was obtained from interviews and direct examinination. Data were analyzed in univariate and bivariate manner (parametical and Shapiro-Wilk test and unpaired t-test). According to the results of this study, there were significant differences in pretest-posttest difference results in experimental and control groups that was 0.0001 (<0.05), then the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. Finally it concluded that there are significant differences between pretest-posttest differences in value between experimental and control groups. Patient with type II diabetes mellitus that they have to consume of noni fruit (Morinda citrifolia) extract and routinely make a visitation of bood glucose level to keep it under control.
