Abstract
This research is aimed to reveal mechanical engineering test competence builder factor. Research held by using test development method empirically and theoretically. Toritic step is held by analyze rationally test points by assessor. Empiric step is held by direct test to 1000 machining field SMK students. Evaluation by assessor yields: test points suit to ability factor of drawing rules reading, drawing view, etc. Kata kunci : kemampuan, tes kompetensi, membaca gambar teknik mesin
