Abstract

Brebes Regency is one of the areas declared endemic for filariasis in Central Java since 2017. The purpose of this study is to determine the zone of filariasis risk susceptibility based on physical environmental aspects and the density of Mosquitoes Culex Sp. (MHD). The sampling technique used the technique of total sampling. This research was conducted in 12 villages in Brebes Regency in August-September 2020. This type of research is quantitative descriptive based on Geographic Information Systems (GIS) with the object of research in the form of physical environmental aspects and the density level of Culex Sp. in the mapping unit. Data analysis used univariate analysis and spatial analysis with buffer, overlapping, and overlay techniques. The results showed that there were still areas that were categorized as highly susceptible to filariasis transmission, the proportion of 45.6% (31 RW) based on the conditions of gutters; 20.6% (14 RW) presence of standing water; 25% (17 RW) presence of bushes; 19.12% (13 RW) presence of cattle sheds; 17.65% (12 RW) the density of the Culex Sp. and 26.47% based on the overlay of susceptibility to environmental conditions and the density of Culex Sp. The regional vulnerability level to the filariasis transmission risk in Brebes Regency, included the susceptible values of 17 RW (25%) and 50 RW (73.53%). The RW areas with the highest vulnerability risk are RW 4 Dukuhturi (RW 4) and Karangmalang (RW 1)Village.
