Abstract

The communication of mathematics is very important because not many students can understand the mathematical text or communicate ideas in their minds properly, correctly and coherently. Analytical geometry requires the ability of spatial spatial properties, including Analytical Geometry (Algebraic representation of the build-up of Analytical Geometry), with the help of computer software Geometer's Sketchpad visualization of Analytical Geometry from its Algebraic representation and vice versa more clearly, teachers and students can communicate concepts with more clear. Learning Flat Analytical Geometry with lectures and printed materials resulted in the learning process of Analytical Geometry of Flat students is still far from expectations, it is necessary to do innovative learning and appropriate teaching materials for Flat Analytical Geometry. Especially if assisted with software that is for flat analytical geometry is expected to increase the activity and skills of problem solving process for material problems Geometry Analitik flat more increase. The project method is used to bridge the learning materials of Geometer's Sketchpad software-assisted problem solving problems with classroom learning. Geometer's Sketchpad is software that can be used to assist student abstraction in studying or working on material problems of flat Analytical Geometry especially in cartesius field. Training and workshop "IbM For Junior High School Mathematics Teachers Difficult Problem Solving Through Visualization of Analytical Geometry from its Algebraic representation and vice versa Cartesus-Assisted Software Field Geometer's Sketchpad" needs to be done to improve the skill and visualization of wake-ups Flat Analytical Geometry with Geometer's Sketchpad and its integration in learning mathematical solutions in the classroom. The training was applied to MGMP Sub-Rayon 2 Mathematics Teachers in Semarang City, observed and analyzed to increase the mastery of the concept of Analytical Geometry, the skill of describing Algebraic representation into objects of Analytical Geometry and vice versa and improvement of mathematical communication ability especially Analytical Geometry in problem solving. Training (Theory of Analytical Geometry and Practice Geometer's Sketchpad) is conducted for 4x8 hours (4 days), ie: Wednesday 12 August 2017, Thursday, August 13, 2017, Wednesday, August 19, 2017, and Thursday, August 20, 2017. Training conducted in Hall Multifunctional building SMP Negeri 15 Semarang. Preliminary tests and final tests to see whether there is an increase in mastery of Analytical Geometry, with the result: Average Value of Pre-test = 76.25, Average Post-Test Value = 81, analyzed by Pairs Sample t-test , the value of sig = 0.000, so H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted and it can be concluded that the average value of Post-Test is better than the average 11 pre-test value, so there is increasing understanding and skill of Analytical Geometry and Geometer's Sketchpad Practice after training. The results of drawing using Geometer's Sketchpad are very good and interesting, and participants are satisfied with this training.
