Abstract

Education has a very important role in shaping human personality. There is a process of human engineering and formating into capable resources in accordance with the goals set in education. This is in accordance with the main goal of education which is to educate the nation's life and develop students’ morale. Some of the main factors that determine the quality of education are teacher competence, learning facilities, learning readiness and motivation to learn. Based on the facts in the education field, teacher competence, facilities, readiness and learning motivation tend to be low. This phenomenon tends to hamper the main purpose of education. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of teacher competence on learning motivation, the effect of learning facilities on learning motivation. Also, the effect of learning readiness on learning motivation and the positive effect of learning motivation on learning achievement. The research method used in this research is quantitative research methods. The data were collected using questionnaires, interviews and documentation. The study population was 300 students. The sampling technique being used was simple purposive sampling, with a sample size of 171 respondents. The data were analyzed using path analysis/ SEM. The results of this study were the effect of teacher competence on learning motivation was 62.15%. The effect of learning facilities on learning motivation was 23.21%. And then, the effect of learning readiness on learning motivation was 33.17% and the positive effect of learning motivation on learning achievement was 82.95%. The conclusion from the results of this study is that teacher competence has a positive effect on learning motivation. Learning facilities have a positive effect on learning motivation. Learning readiness has a positive effect on learning motivation and learning motivation has a positive effect on learning achievement.
