Abstract

Volleyball is a game that is very popular in Indonesia, this game is played by two teams, the game of volleyball is a sport activity that is universal. The objectives of this study are: 1) Knowing and analyzing the volleyball club coaching program in Cilacap Regency. 2) Knowing and analyzing the implementation of the volleyball club training program in Cilacap Regency. 3) Knowing and analyzing the facilities and infrastructure of volleyball clubs throughout Cilacap Regency. 4) Knowing and analyzing the role of PBVSI Cilacap Regency in fostering volleyball clubs in Cilacap Regency. 5) Knowing and analyzing the role of the Cilacap Regency Government in fostering volleyball clubs in Cilacap Regency. This study uses a qualitative approach that is the problem discussed aims to be able to describe or about the existing situation based on a complex order, a holistic picture, arranged with words, reporting detailed views of the informants and carried out in a natural setting. The subjects of this study were the players, coaches and administrators at the volleyball club in Cilacap Regency. The results of the study are as follows: (1) The coaching program has 2 active clubs out of 10 clubs, the coaching is still concentrated in the city area, (2) the training program. Training programs are not made in writing, (3) Facilities and infrastructure. The field is still outdoor and the number of balls is inadequate, (4) The role of PBVSI. PBVSI Cilacap Regency has established a training program at Wijayakusuma Cilacap Sports Hall every 3 times a week. (5) The Cilacap Regency Government has not maximally supported the development of volleyball clubs in Cilacap Regency. This study concludes that: (1) The volleyball club coaching program throughout Cilacap Regency has not been evenly distributed throughout the Cilacap Regency, (2) The training program is not made in writing, (3) The facilities and infrastructure for volleyball clubs throughout Cilacap Regency are inadequate, (4) The role of PBVSI Cilacap Regency has been good, this is shown by the coaching program that has been made by PBVSI (5) The role of the Cilacap Regency government in fostering volleyball clubs in Cilacap Regency is not optimal, this is shown by the lack of sports facilities and infrastructure, especially volleyball in Cilacap Regency. Suggestion: Increase coaching in Cilacap Regency to improve performance
