Abstract

Volleyball is a game sport that is very popular with the general public and beginners (students). Badegan State 1 Junior High School is one of the schools that conduct volleyball extracurricular activities, however the passing ability of female students who take part in volleyball extracurricular activities is still low. So we need the right training methods to improve the volleyball fore arms passing skills. This study uses an experimental method with a 2x2 factorial design. The independent variables in this study are convensional and patterned drill, attributive variables hight and low of hand eye coordination and dependent variable the volleyball fore arms passing skills.. The population and samples of this research was 30 female students of SMP Negeri 1 Badegan Ponorogo who participated in volleyball extracurricular activities. The sampling system used is toral sampling. Data analysis used statistical t-test. The results of the study showed that the effect of conventional drill and patterned drill training methods toward increasing volleyball fore arms passing skills with a percentage of success of conventional drill 25% and patterned drill 60%, t value 10.405 > the t-table 1.729 ( p < 0.05); 2). The difference of influence high and low hand eye coordination on increasing volleyball fore arms passing skills with a success rate of low hand eye coordination 40%, and high hand eye coordination 75%, and 3) Interaction of drill practice methods and hand eye coordination toward the volleyball fore arms passing skills by 80%, indicate the volleyball fore arms passing skills extracurricular participants at SMA Negeri 1 Badegan after practicing with drill and hand eye coordination methods increased by 3.50 or by 19.89%. Conclusions: 1) There is a difference effect of conventional drill and patterned drill training methods toward increasing volleyball fore arms passing skills, the patterned drill better than conventional drill; 2) There is a difference in the influence of high and low hand eye coordination toward increasing volleyball fore arms passing skills, the high of hand eye coordination beter than low hand eye coordinatio; and 3) There are interaction of drill training methods and hand eye coordination to improved the volleyball forearm passing skills, the patterned of drill methods and the high hand eye coordination improved volleyball forearm passing skills better than conventional drill methods.
