Abstract

Excess energy stored under the skin is called high accumulation of fat, then humans will become fat, and if the total amount of fat in the body is enlarged, humans will experience obesity. One way to overcome weight gain and body fat due to calories that are not balanced, the effective programs to control is to determine the balance between incoming energy and out coming energy. The purpose of this study are as follows: 1) Analyze the types of exercise methods and obesity levels that are better for reducing fat at the waist in women of 99 Ungaran Gymnastics Studio. 2) Compare the pilates gymnastic method and the hula hoop gymnastic method associated with flexibility and obesity levels to reduce waist fat in Women of 99 Ungaran Gymnastics Studio. 3) Evaluate that pilates and hulahoop exercises can be used as a sport in reducing waist fat. This experimental research using 2x2x2 factorial design, there are 3 (three) independent variables and 1 (one) dependent variable. Independent variables include: Treatment which is a combination of indicators (1) Gymnastics Method, (2) Flexibility, and (3) Types of Obesity. As for the dependent variable Reducing in Fat (reducing in body fat, reducing in belly fat, and reducing in waist fat). The independent variable consists of two levels, namely: (1) Gymnastics Method (pilates and rhythm using hula hoops), Flexibility (high and low), and Type of Obesity (Pears and Apples). From the results of hypothesis testing using the ANOVA and MANOVA tests, it is known that there are differences between the gymnastic methods (pilates and rhythm using hula hoops), flexibility (high and low), and types of obesity (pears and apples) in reducing waist fat, from the three techniques tested those were gymnastic methods (pilates and hula hops), flexibility (high and low), and types of obesity (pears and apples) through physical activities, all of them showed Sig. 0,000, that is in the rule if Sig. <0.05 then Ho is accepted and Ha is rejected. Based on the research results and discussion, the conclusion of this study shows that there is an effect of the gymnastics method, flexibility, and types of obesity on the reduction of waist fat based on statistical tests and based on the statistical analysis of additional reduction in total fat (body, stomach and waist) also influenced by treatment and classification (gymnastic methods, flexibility, and types of obesity). The treatment was followed by all participants and showed that there were differences in the results of fat reduction from each treatment interaction result (gymnastic method, flexibility, and types of obesity). The results also showed differences in each treatment affecting the reduction in waist fat as hypothesized
