Abstract

The rapid development of technology requires education to bring learning to develop IT-based skills in students. Contrary to this, the low critical thinking skills of students have an impact on mastery of low physics concepts. Physics material that is packed with advanced technology and computer programming can be an alternative solution to the problem. This research aims to develop the Wave assisted material Scratch to improve ICT literacy and critical thinking skills. The availability of 21st century skills-based physics teaching materials is still one of the things behind the development of this product. This research method is an R & D research with research procedures namely Define, Design, and Develop. Product trials conducted by researchers using experimental design methods with the type of Pretest-Posttest Control Group. The products produced in this research are ICTbased wave material with the help of Scratch programming with the contents of a contextual learning approach aimed at uncovering physical phenomena and phenomena closely in everyday life. The average percentage of material aspect worthiness was 87.98% with a very decent category. The average percentage of media eligibility was obtained at 87.92% with a very decent category. The level of readability of teaching materials through the overlap test and the readability questionnaire each had a percentage of 87.22% and 84.97% with the category very easy to understand. Student and teacher responses each had a mean percentage of 93.57% and 93.33% which meant that the criteria were very good. Product trials show that there are differences in the improvement of ICT literacy and critical thinking skills between students who use and do not use Scratch-assisted Wave teaching materials for high school students are significant.
