Abstract

This study aims to produce students’worksheet based on contextual teaching and learning (CTL) that is feasible, effective and gets positive responses from users on chemistry learning at Vocatioal High School. This research is a development type research with the ADDIE model. The feasibility of students’worksheet was assessed each by three media experts (for the aspects of presentation, language, and practicality) and material experts. The results of the assessment by media experts and material experts on the developed students’worksheet showed very feasible criteria with an average percentage score of 94.87% for the presentation aspect, 94.44% for the language aspect, and 95% for the practical aspect. The average percentage score for the material aspect reaches 91.66% with very feasible criteria. A small-scale trial was conducted to determine the readability requirements of the students’worksheet by involving a small-scale sample, namely 32 students outside the class who were involved in the large-scale trial. The results of the pre-test post-test on decision-making skills showed that the students 'decision-making skills increased from 37.50% to 81.25% and the observation results of students' interpersonal intelligence showed that 84.37% of students had interpersonal intelligence with the category minimum height. Students gave responses with a good minimum category with an average percentage score of 100%. The results of small-scale trials indicate that students’worksheet is suitable for learning chemistry. A large-scale trial was conducted to determine the effectiveness of the students’worksheet by involving 69 students. The results of the pre-test post-test decision-making skills showed that decision-making skills increased from 18.57 to 80.06% and the observation results of students' interpersonal intelligence showed that 95.65% of students had interpersonal intelligence with a high minimum category. Students in large groups also responded with a minimal category of good to the CTL-based students’worksheet used in chemistry learning with an average score of 100%. Overall, the results of this study indicate that the resulting students’worksheet based on contextual teaching and learning is considered feasible, effective, and has received positive responses from users
