Abstract

Students must have critical thinking ability, creativity, and utilize ICT in the learning process to face the challenges of 21st century learning. Likewise, in biology learning accompanied by contextual learning related to everyday life such as the concept of environmental change. Technological developments also need to be maximally utilized in the learning process by flipped classroom learning. This study aims to know characteristic flipped classrom learning, to analyze the increase in students' critical thinking ability and creativity towards flipped classroom learning model, to know compliance flipped classroom learning, and to know corellation betwen critical thinking and creativity. This research method used a quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent pretest posttest control group design. The subjects of this study included students of class X MIPA 1 as experiment class (flipped classroom learning) with 30 student and X MIPA 2 as control class (traditional online classroom learning) with 30 student. This research was conducted at SMAN 1 Palimanan. The results showed that generally there is a significant difference in critical thinking ability and creativity between the experimental class and the control class. Flipped classroom learning can be carried out well, students give a positive response to learning about environmental change and waste recycling. There is no correlation or relationship between critical thinking ability and student creativity. Based on this research, it is suggested that an approach should be made between teachers and students so that online learning takes place without obstacles. Utilization of ICT needs to be maximized so that it is carried out well so that students are able to solve problems easily in learning. Teachers need to provide more intensive guidance so that students' creativity can be maximized
