Abstract

Biology in high school studies everything about life. In this case involves skill and reasoning. In addition, the development of information and communication technology in education has an impact on efficiency in the learning process. The research was aimed to describe the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of Andro-Webcomic media based on problem-based learning as a learning media to improve students' analytical thinking ability and scientific attitudes. The development design used was Research and Development (R&D) and used the ADDIE model which consists of five steps such as Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The research subjects were 3 teachers and 105 students of class XI (SMAN 1 Nalumsari, SMAN 1 Mayong, and SMAN 1 Welahan) in Jepara. The research data includes data on the validity, effectiveness, and practicality of the media. The instruments used were validation sheets, test sheets, observation sheets for students' scientific attitudes, student and teacher questionnaire responses. Data analysis in this study used qualitative descriptive statistics. The results of this study indicate that: (1) the validity test shows that the material expert obtains a value with a percentage of 98.68% in the very good category and the results of the validation of the media expert get a value with a percentage of 95.58% which is in the very good category; (2) cognitive learning outcomes show that the percentage of students' classical completeness is 92.38% with an n-gain score of 72% and a scientific attitude of 85.66%; (3) practicality based on student responses of 89.82% and teacher responses of 87.28%; (4) media component that supports improving competencies is on the webcomic and investigation menu. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the Andro-Webcomic media is valid, practical and effective to improve students' analytical thinking ability and scientific attitudes. The characteristics of Andro-Webcomic based on Problem Based Learning consist of application icons, splash screen, cover page, home page, sub menu (introduction to circulatory system material, KI, KD & indicators, learning activities, references), and sub menu of learning activities
