Abstract
In this globalization era, students are expected to be able to take part in real life in the 21st century. One of them uses 21st Century learning, learning that integrates literacy skills, knowledge skills, skills and attitudes, and mastery of technology. This study aims to analyze high-order thinking skills, character, and science process skills of high school students on plant tissue material through the Project Based Learning (PJBL) model. This research method uses Pre-Experimental Designs. This research was conducted at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Karanganyar. The research sample used was 78 students. The instruments used were multiple choice questions and observation sheets. Multiple choice questions are used to measure higher order thinking skills (HOTS) and the observation sheet is used to measure the character and science process skills. Student learning outcomes data were analyzed using the N-Gain technique and the minimal classical completeness test to determine higher order thinking skills (HOTS). Observation data were analyzed with percentage descriptive to determine the character and skills of the science process. The results showed that students' high order thinking skills (HOTS) increased through the Project Besed Learning (PjBL) Model with an average N- Gain of 0.52 in the "medium" category. Student character can grow with an average percentage value of 70.36% in the "good" category, the character of the students that grows includes responsibility (67.77%) in the "good" category, discipline (76.44%) in the "very good" category. ", And cooperation (66.88%) in the" good "category. Science process skills students can grow with the average value percentage of science process skills of 74.73% in the "good" category, the growing science process skills are observing (84.29%) "very good" category, planning experiments (64 , 53%) in the "good" category, conducting experiments (89.22%) in the "very good" category, and communicating (60.90%) in the "good" category. The result of research showed that higher order thinking skills can be improved, the character and science process skills of students can grow through the Project Besed Learning (PjBL) model. Teachers are advised to pay more attention to students at the stages of preparing project planning and arranging schedules, at that stage students do not understand and are not used to doing it.
