Abstract

The application of kid-friendly "rubrics" in the 9E learning cycle based on personality types supports the achievement of students' mathematical reasoning. This study aims to (1) analyze the quality of the 9E learning cycle with kid�friendly "rubrics" on students 'mathematical reasoning abilities (2) To analyze students' mathematical reasoning abilities based on personality types in the 9E learning cycle with kid-friendly "rubrics". This research is a mix method research with sequential explanatory. The population in this study were Grade VIII students of Gema Buwana Private Junior High School for the academic year 2020/2021. Samples for quantitative data were selected using simple random sampling technique. The research subjects for qualitative data were selected by purposive sampling, so 8 students were selected with two students in each personality type in the experimental class. Data collection techniques used in this study were tests, documentation, questionnaires, interviews, and observations. Analysis of hypothesis testing on quantitative data includes the average test, proportion, average difference, and proportion difference, while qualitative data validity tests, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that (1) the 9E learning cycle with kid-friendly “rubrics” had quality; (2) The four personality types are guardian, artisan, rational, and idealist capable of providing explanations about existing models, facts, properties, relationships, or patterns. The ability to make assumptions and evidence is dominated by artisan, rational, and idealist types. The ability to use relationship patterns to analyze situations, make analogies, or generalize is controlled by guardian and rational types. Meanwhile, the ability to make logical conclusions is only controlled by the rational type. As the results of the research, the teacher can remind students' weaknesses and take advantage of their kenggulan, such as, guardian type students can group with rationales, during the learning process the teacher should be diligent in provoking student activity with questions and answers and the teacher provides objective tests containing questions with indicators made. The type of artist, the teacher should pay more attention during the learning process so that all the indicators made are achieved. Students with rational and idealist types should be given additional training to improve their abilities
