Abstract

The low mathematical literacy of class XI students in Office Automation and Management of SMK Negeri 1 Demak is due to being unfamiliar with mathematical literacy questions. Discovery learning with product appraisal and assisted eworksheets is expected to be a solution to this problem. This study aims to determine the initial ability of mathematical literacy, the quality of discovery learning with product assessment and e-worksheet assistance; and analyzing mathematical literacy skills in terms of students' spatial abilities. The research used the Mix Method approach to obtain quantitative data in the form of mathematical literacy skills before learning and the quality of discovery learning with e-worksheet-assisted product assessments, as well as qualitative data in the form of analyzing mathematical literacy skills in terms of students' spatial abilities. The research was carried out in class XI OTKP 1 with discovery learning treatment with e-worksheet-assisted product assessment and class XI OTKP 2 with discovery learning treatments. Quantitative data were tested using the One Sample t-test, Paired Sample t-test, and Independent Sample t-test, while the qualitative data were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the pre-learning mathematical literacy skills tended to be at level 1 and 2. Discovery learning with e-worksheet-assisted product assessments was able to facilitate students who had an impact on complete mathematical literacy skills, increased and increased the experimental group more than the control group. Learning also received a high response. Mathematical literacy skills in students with high spatial abilities are at levels 5-6, moderate spatial abilities are at levels 4-5, and low spatial abilities are at levels 3-4. The mathematical literacy skills which tested in this study are in the material of geometric transformation with the content of space & shape and change & relationship. In the other hand, spatial abilities are considered to have a strong relationship with geometric material so that further research is needed on material with broader literacy content
