Abstract

Hate speech has developed into the digital space and is manifested in social media, one of which is Youtube. One of the channels on Youtube, namely Najwa Shihab, contains viewers' views and comments regarding political issues that are developing in Indonesia, one of which is regarding the 2019 presidential election campaign. Hate speech in comments on the Najwa Shihab channel forms a grammatical and semantic pattern. Hate speech patterns are formed based on the form of hate speech and violations of the principle of politeness. The form of hate speech is in the form of illocutionary speech acts and forms of hate speech based on the rules of state law. The objectives of this study are 1) to analyze the form of hate speech in viewers' comments on the Youtube channel Najwa Shihab in the Campaign Discourse for the General Election of President and Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia in 2019; 2) analyzing the violation of the principle of hate speech in the comments of viewers on the Youtube channel Najwa Shihab in the Campaign Discourse for the General Election of the President and Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia 2019; 3) analyzing patterns of hate speech in viewers' comments on the Youtube channel Najwa Shihab in the Campaign Discourse for the 2019 General Election of the President and Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia. There are two approaches used in this research, namely the theoretical approach and the methodological approach. The theoretical approach used is a forensic linguistic approach by utilizing pragmatics for data analysis, while the methodological approach used is the immediate application approach, which is an analytical approach that is applied directly to speeches suspected of containing hate speech / hoaxes. Collecting data in this study using documentation study techniques, observation methods, and note taking techniques. The data on hate speech that were analyzed were 300 comments consisting of two programs, namely Mata Najwa and Notes Najwa, as well as 26 videos. The validity of the data was done by using the credibility test, namely by extending observations, ix increasing the accuracy of the research, using materials references, and holds a member-check. The data analysis technique used in this research is the heuristic analysis technique and the qualitative normative analysis technique. The results of this study indicate that 1) forms of hate speech produced are 9 (nine) forms of hate speech. The forms of hate speech are (a) assertive speech acts-insulting, (b) assertive speech acts-defamation, (c) directive-incitement speech, (d) directive speech acts-unpleasant acts, (e) speech acts assertivenessunpleasant acts, (f) directive-defamation speech acts, (g) directive speech acts - insulting, (h) commissive speech acts-unpleasant acts, and (i) expressive-insulting speech acts. 2) In the form of hate speech that has been analyzed, there are violations of the principle of politeness, including violating the maxims of wisdom, violating the maxims of agreement / consensus, violating the maxims of respect / obligations S to O, violating the maxims of simplicity, violating the maxims of holding opinions, and violating the maxims of conscience. 3) The patterns of hate speech obtained are 20 (twenty) patterns of hate speech. There are two patterns that are widely used, namely the pattern of assertive speech acts in the form of defamation and violating the maxims of appreciation amounting to 112 or 37.2% of the total 300 utterances and assertive speech acts in the form of insults and violating the maxims of appreciation amounting to 99 or 33% of the total 300 speeches. In addition, the least used patterns of hate speech resulting from the analysis are ten patterns. Each pattern has only 1 speech or the equivalent of 0.3% of the total 300 speeches. Suggestions that can be given are that the delivery of opinions by the public on social media needs to minimize opinions and objections included in hate speech such as insulting speech, defaming, inciting, and / or committing unpleasant actions, especially those that promote disrespect for other parties. Therefore, it is necessary to make preventive efforts, one of which is in the realm of education, namely including the type of hate speech text into the education curriculum in Indonesia, so that many students who use social media can be wise in their comments
