Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of group counseling through an Islamic-nuance person-centered approach to reduce the antisocial behavior of students at SMA N 1 Kersana Brebes. This research method uses an experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design. The subjects of this study were 14 students of class X which were divided into 2 groups, 7 students for the experimental group and 7 students for the control group. The instrument in the form of a scale of antisocial behavior tendencies developed from Black Burn & Faxcett, Stone, and Delisi was 9 indicators and 45 items. The technique of collecting data using a questionnaire and documentation. The data analysis technique used descriptive and inferential statistics. The results of the study concluded that (1) the initial condition of the antisocial behavior tendency of students (before being given treatment) in the experimental group was in the moderate category, and the tendency for the antisocial behavior of the control group students was in the moderate category. (2) Group counseling services through an Islamic-nuance person-centered approach are effective in reducing the tendency of students 'antisocial behavior as evidenced by a significant difference in the tendency of students' antisocial behavior before receiving treatment and after receiving Islamic-nuance person-centered group counseling treatment
