Abstract

This research applied a sequential mixed method. This research aims to: (1) explain the quality of Treffinger learning assisted by Geogebra toward the learners’ mathematics creative thinking skills, (2) explain the correlation between self�confidence toward the learners’ mathematics creative thinking skills, (3) describe the learners’ mathematics creative thinking skills taught by Treffinger assisted by Geogebra reviewed from self-confidence. The research was promoted in 02 Kedungwuni Public JHS with its seventh graders. There were two classes taken as an experimental group while the other class was as the control group. The techniques of collecting the data used mathematics creative thinking skill test, interview, observation, and documentation. The hypothesis test used statistics t-test, proportional test, and simple linear regression test. Meanwhile, the qualitative data analysis used three steps: data reduction, presentation, and conclusion. The findings showed that: (1) the learning quality of Treffinger learning assisted by Geogebra, in the planning stage, was categorized very excellent; in the action stage, it was categorized excellent; and in the assessment stage, it was indicated by several hypothesis results. They were: (A) learners taught by Treffinger assisted by Geogebra had a proportional completeness of the mathematics creative thinking skills with a percentage of 75%, (b) learners taught by Treffinger assisted by Geogebra had higher average score of mathematics creative thinking skills than the given mastery standard, (c) learners taught by Treffinger assisted by Geogebra had higher mathematics creative thinking skills than the control group, (d) learners taught by Treffinger assisted by Geogebra had higher proportional completeness than the control group; (2) there was a positive significance with a percentage of 28.6% between the self-confidence and the learners’ mathematics creative thinking skills on Treffinger learning assisted by Geogebra; (3) the learners had varied self-confidence on each category
