Abstract

Learning will be more meaningful if the teacher invites students to find concepts learned through scientific processes. For this reason, teachers must be creative in planning and developing learning in accordance with the subjects and subject matter they teach. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of guided inquiry learning models on students' science process skills, determine the influence of guided inquiry learning models on scientific attitudes, determine the effect of guided inquiry learning models on learning outcomes, and determine the magnitude of the influence of guided inquiry learning models on science process skills and scientific attitude of students. The method used in this research is quantitative method. The quantitative method used is quasi-experimental. This design involves two groups of subjects, one given an experimental treatment (experimental group) and the other was not given treatment (control class). The results of this study indicate that the guided inquiry model influences students' science process skills, the guided inquiry model influences students' scientific attitudes, the guided inquiry model influences student learning outcomes, and there are differences in students' science process skills between the experimental class and the control class. Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that the guided inquiry model has succeeded in improving the science process skills and scientific attitudes of fourth grade elementary school students. It is hoped that this research can be further developed in further research.
