Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of a multimedia assisted quantum learning model on the motivation and learning outcomes of the science cognitive domain of elementary students. This type of research is Quasy Experimental with a pretest-posttest control group design. The population in this study were fourth grade students in the Dwarawati cluster, Banyumanik District, Semarang City, 2017/2018 academic year. Research sampleThese are the fourth grade students of SD N Ngesrep 02 with a total of 28 students and SD N Ngesrep 03 with a total of 27 students. Data collection techniques in this study used test techniques in the form of multiple choice questions, and non-test techniques consisting of questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The data were analyzed by using the gain score test and t-test. The results showed that there was a significant effect in learning the quantum learning model assisted by multimedia on students' motivation and learning outcomes in the cognitive domain. Obtained an average score of the experimental class motivation is 73.3 and the control class average is 71.1. Obtained an average score of learning outcomes in the cognitive domain of the experimental class 76.85 and the control class 73.39. The independent test results indicate a difference between the experimental class and the control class, indicated by tcount> ttable or a significance value <0.05 of a significance value of 0.024 <0.05. The results of the test the influence of motivation on learning outcomes of28.1%. With a correlation value of 0.530, it indicates a strong and positive level of relationship, meaning that high learning motivation accompanies high learning outcomes. The conclusions of this study indicate that the application of the multimedia assisted quantum learning model affects students' motivation and learning outcomes in the cognitive domain of science. There ispositive relationship between motivation and learning outcomes, meaning that high learning motivation accompanies high learning outcomes.Suggestions for this research education providers need to encourage teachers to use multimedia�assisted quantum learning models to increase motivation and cognitive learning outcomes
