Abstract

Think Pair and Share cooperative learning models is by forming experimental classes into groups (in pairs). The Think Pair and Share learning model is expected to train students' ability to analyze a problem by exchanging arguments with their partners, explaining a comparison, and making a conclusion to the problem at hand. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Think Pair and Share cooperative learning on creativity and the ability to think critically economically in class X IPS students of SMA Negeri 1 Rembang, Purbalingga Regency. The research approach uses an experimental method with the design of Quasi�Experimental. The research location was in SMA Negeri 1 Rembang, Purbalingga Regency. The population of this study was 140 students. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. The sample in this study was class X IPS 3 and X IPS 4 of SMA Negeri 1 Rembang, Purbalingga Regency with a total of 68 students. Data collection techniques are obtained through observation, interviews, documentation, and tests. Data analysis techniques by applying the test for normality, homogeneity test, and hypothesis testing. Hypothesis testing used a paired-sample t-test and an N�Gain test. The results of this study indicate that the Think Pair and Share cooperative learning is effective in the creativity and ability of economic critical thinking in class X IPS students of SMA Negeri 1 Rembang, Purbalingga Regency. Average final test results of 82.39 with a percentage of mastery learning by 90.91% and the average student learning activities in the experimental class of 91.52% means that the learning activities of students in the experimental class are included in the very active category, as well as the average percentage of the results of the analysis of student creativity observation sheets was 86.00% with a very creative category.
