Abstract
The demand for water, which is increasing every year, is not matched by the quality and effectiveness of water production so that the distribution of PDAM water is uneven in every region in the Special Province of Yogyakarta. The increase in PDAM water demand is based on several factors that can affect demand such as water prices, the number of hotels, the number of industries, and the GDP per capita of the population. The price of PDAM water is influenced by several factors such as the cost of employees and operational costs of the PDAM. The population in the study used was PDAM water customers in five Districts / City in Yogyakarta Special Province in 2013-2018. The sample selection in this study uses a purposive sampling technique, which is the number of hotels and industries that subscribe to PDAM District / City water in the Special Province of Yogyakarta. This study uses secondary data, namely the panel data method. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical analysis and SEM structural modeling analysis. The results showed that the number of employees had a significant positive effect on the costs of PDAM employees. The cost of PDAM employees and PDAM operational costs affect water prices. Whereas the price of PDAM water and GDP per capita of the population has a significant positive not effect on PDAM water demand. The number of hotels and industries that subscribe to water in PDAMs has a significant negative effect on water demand.
