Abstract
The era of globalization has hit various aspects of human life, included economic. Globalization also brings opportunities as well as challenges for global and local companies. Humans are one of the most important factors in improving company performance. However, many companies are so focused on technology and systems that they often ignore the fact that human resources drive these technologies and systems. To determine the level of performance, this study uses spiritual leadership, quality of work life and organizational commitment to examine the direct and indirect effects on performance at the Wimarion Hotel Semarang. The population in this study were all 70 employees of the Wimarion Hotel Semarang. The sampling technique uses saturated sampling technique. Data collection technique through interviews and questionnaires. Data analysis used percentage descriptive analysis, classic assumption test, hypothesis test, path analysis using SPSS version 23 program and Sobel test. The result showed that spiritual leadership can improve organizational commitment with a t count of 3,771 and a significance 0,000<0,005. Quality of work life can improve organizational commitment with a t count of 6,004 and a significance 0,000<0,005. Spiritual leadership can improve performance with a t count of 2.397 and a significance value of 0.019<0.05. Quality of work life can improve performance with the results of t count of 6.217 and a significance value of 0.000<0.005. Organizational commitment can improve performance with the results a t count of 4.229 and a significance value of 0.000<0.05. Organizational commitment can mediates the influence of spiritual leadership on performance (t count = 2.239361> t table = 1.9686). And organizational commitment mediates the effect of quality of work life on performance (t count = 2.851> t table = 1.9686). The conclusion of this study is that spiritual leadership and quality of work life can improve organizational commitment, spiritual leadership, quality of work life and organizational commitment can improve performance, and organizational commitment is prove to be able to mediate the influence of spiritual leadership and quality of work life on performance. Suggestion from this research are that leaders should develop sincere concern, trust in employee and encourage employees to develop their potential, management can improve the quality of employee facilities and hold joint activities that involve all employees to foster a sense of family and ownership in the hotel.
