Abstract

This study intended to evaluate the feasibility of a water conservation project from a financial mathematics point of view particularly using Net Present Value (NPV). The research took place in a pharmaceutical industry located in Simongan industrial area, Semarang. The research object was investment documents of the water conservation project. The data were gathered using documentation, observation, and interview method. The data were analyzed using B/C (Benefit Cost Ratio). The results showed that by taking the economic life of the 5-year project, without residual values, the PV proceeds reached IDR 251,327,818.80, while the PV outlay was IDR 93,450,000, and the B / C ratio was 2.69. To conclude, the water conservation project is worth building.
