Abstract

The point of view of the shareholders on the company's performance can be seen from the financial reports in relation to stock prices referred to as the firm value. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of size, profitability, free cash flow, to the firm value with the dividend policy as a mediating variable. The population in this study are all manufacturing sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2018. The method of determining the sample is the purposive sampling method, so that a sample of 76 companies is obtained. Data collection techniques is documentation of the company's annual report which is downloaded through the official website of the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Data analysis methods used are descriptive statistical analysis and path analysis. The results showed that the profitability and devidend policy influence the firm value, while the size of the company and free cash flow does not influence the firm value. Company size and profitability influence the dividend policy, while free cash flow has not influence. Profitability has a significant influence on firm value through dividend policy, while the size and free cash flow have no significant influence. The conclusion of this research is that dividend policy can only fully mediation the effect of profitability on firm value. The advice given in this study is that companies pay more attention to the level of size, profitability, free cash flow, and dividend policy as it may affect the firm value. Thus, the company can continue to grow and continue to survive in business competition
