Abstract

Pizza Laila is a home business which sells many different types of Pizza. Rivalry in business world is increasing; it can be seen from the emergence of many new businesses. Many businessman are competing by doing anything to make their products becomes well-known so that they need to think about creative strategy to make consumers love their products. Pizza Laila needs effective strategy to introduce their products to public. Strong visual identity is needed to describe Pizza Laila’s product to consumer and also to strengthen their brand. The aim of this study is to produce visual identity design and its application on promotion media such as leaflet, packaging, website design, uniform, merchandise, menu book, stationary, social media poster, x-banner and shop design to increasing the image of Pizza Laila Pati. Visual identity design and its application on promotion media is done through work process which first is preliminary process. This process covers research, SWOT analysis, the determination of the purpose, design strategy, and media strategy. Second is pre-production which consists of the search of logo inspiration, and the determination of concept. Third is production which involves alternative manual sketch, alternative logo vectorization, final logo, visual identity application on promotion media, supervisor consultation and client agreement, and final art. Last is work presentation which consists of printing and exhibition. Work analysis on visual identity creation has been done to produce a good visual identity design. Work analysis consists of three aspects; they are technical aspect, aesthetic aspect, and communication aspect. Visual identity design and its application on promotion media are used to increasing the image of Pizza Laila to public, especially to people in Pati and its surrounding region. Moreover, it can also be used to make Pizza Laila’s product has its own characteristic in consumers’ eyes to face rivalry in business world.
