Abstract

Purpose: To show toxicity degree (LC50 – 96 hours) of leachate from Jatibarang Semarang Waste Disposal Sites towards Common Carp (Cyprinus carpio). Methods: Bioassay method, descriptive analysis, and probit analysis was used in this study. Bioassay method used 3 months of Common Carp and 0,8g/L of biomass. Descriptive analysis use some methods such as Alizarin’s method, SNI 19-1127-1989, SNI 6989.16:2009, AAS, SNI 19-1133-1989, SNI 6989.18:2009, SNI 6989.7:2009, SNI 6989.6:2009, SNI 6989.8:2009, Nessler’s method, dan SNI 6989.20:2009. Probit analysis use USEPA 1.5 version performed to show LC50 – 96 hours values and SPSS 16 to calculated correlation about concentrations with different of the weather. Results: LC50 – 96 hours values in dry season and rainy season were 2,1% and 2,5%. The gills was irritated and showed red. Conclusions: Toxicity degree (LC50 – 96 hours) of leachate from Jatibarang Semarang Waste Disposal Sites towards Common Carp (Cyprinus carpio) in dry season and rainy season were 2,1% and 2,5%. Recommendation: To make early warning system to increase management quality control of waste disposal system in Semarang city.
