Abstract

MAN Lasem is senior high school in subdistric Lasem that invest the role of character education in their students. The best program is a tools to make the character education for answering of the people that was less knowledge, religion and morals. Best program that consist by Hafidz Qur’an, Qiro’atul Kutub, and Competency Saints Madrasah (KSM). This research was described about the investment of the values of character education with best program in MAN Lasem. The purpose of this research is to find the truth of the research question (1) What is the values of character education that was invest as best program in MAN Lasem? (2) How is the process of invest the values of the character education as the best program? (3) What is obstacle in operate of the best program in MAN Lasem? This research using qualitative method. Concept and theory of this research by Peter L. Berger and Thomas Lockman as socialization theory, Thomas Lickona, etc eleventh principle in character education effective education and character education component. The location of the research was in MAN Lasem, subdistric Lasem, Rembang regency. Informant of this research is Vice principle of curriculum, the teacher of this program, and the students. The result and the discussion showed that the investment of the values of character education in best program as like as religion, discipline, being autonomous, hardworking, being honest, being appreciate with achievement, and being responsible. The investment the values of character education using gives the example in studying, giving the motivation and usually. The studying of the best program was using studying method, tools and media of the studying, and evaluation monitoring that was variation. Moreover, there was an obstacle in the implementation of best program they were time limitation and the difficulties in understanding the material. The suggestion for this research (1) for the school: it is hoped that the school could integrate the entire elements of teacher to handle the obstacle and look for the solution of the obstacle in best program. (2) for the teacher: the teacher could make the new tools for the study as for as standard realization and coordinate with school team concerned with the obstruction and the solution of it.
