Abstract

Kesenjangan antara penyerapan kuota penerimaan guru dengan lulusan sarjana pendidikan. Alumni Universitas Negeri Semarang tahun 2014 yang tidak bekerja atau masih menganggur sebesar 25, 17% dari 1291. Salah satu alternatif untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan ini dengan menjadikan mahasiswa kependidikan tidak harus atau tidak hanya menjadi guru, istilah ini disebut teacherpreneurship. Yaitu menjadikan calon guru memiliki karakteristik kewirausahaan. Berdasarkan hasil observasi awal menunjukkan bahwa karakteristik kewirausahaan mahasiswa pendidikan ekonomi Universitas Negeri Semarang angkatan 2013 adalah rendah. Hal ini dilihat dari orientasi karir menjadi wirausaha setelah lulus kuliah hanya sebesar 10,4%. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis besarnya pengaruh pengalaman berwirausaha dan latar belakang pendidikan secara simultan dan parsial terhadap karakteristik kewirausahaan. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu mahasiswa pendidikan ekonomi Universitas Negeri Semarang angkatan 2013 yang memiliki usaha, yaitu berjumlah 77 mahasiswa yang juga sebagai sampel penelitian. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode pengumpulan data berupa angket. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif dan analisis regresi linier berganda. Analisis statistik deskriptif karakteristik kewirausahaan mahasiswa pendidikan ekonomi Universitas Negeri Semarang angkatan 2013 adalah rendah dengan rata-rata 56, 88. Pengalaman berwirausaha dan latar belakang pendidikan pada kategori cukup dengan masing-masing rata-rata 54,77 dan 42,51. Hasil penelitian ini diperoleh persamaan regresi Y = 5,291 + 0,517 X1 + 0,547 X2. Pengalaman berwirausaha dan latar belakang pendidikan secara simultan berpengaruh positif terhadap karakteristik kewirausahaan sebesar 44,2%, secara parsial pengalaman berwirausaha berpengaruh positif terhadap karakteristik kewirausahaan sebesar 17,2%, dan latar belakang pendidikan berpengaruh positif terhadap karakteristik kewirausahaan sebesar 16,5%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, saran untuk mahasiswa agar lebih meningkatkan karakteristik kewirausahaan, sehingga dapat berperilaku teacherpreneurship untuk menanggulangi masalah pengangguran. One of the problems occurring in Central Java is that the educated unemployment of diploma and university graduates reaching 53,012 in 2016. In addition, there is a gap between the absorption of teacher acceptance quota with graduates of education scholar in Indonesia. An alternative to solve this problem is by encouraging college students not to be a teacher solely. That is by making teacher candidates have the characteristics of entrepreneurship. This term is called „teacherpreneurship’. Based on the results of initial observations, it indicated that the characteristics of entrepreneurship of economic education students of Semarang State University year of 2013 was low. This can be seen from the career orientation to entrepreneurship after graduation is only 10.4%. The objective of this study was to determine and to analyze the magnitude of the influence of entrepreneurship experience and educational background simultaneously and partially to the characteristics of entrepreneurship. The populations in this study were the students of economic education of State University of Semarang year of 2013 who have done a business, that were as many as 77 students who were also as the sample of study. This study used a quantitative approach with data collection methods in the form of questionnaires. The analysis method used is descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. Based on the descriptive statistical analysis, the characteristics of entrepreneurship of economics students of Semarang State University year 2013 was low with an average of 56, 88. The experience of entrepreneurship and educational background belonged to enough category with an average of 54,77 and 42,51, respectively. From the result of this study, it was obtained a regression equation of Y = 5,291 + 0,517 X1 + 0,547 X2. The entrepreneurship experience and educational background simultaneously had a positive effect on the characteristics of entrepreneurship as many as 44.2%, while the entrepreneurship experience partially had a positive effect on the characteristics of entrepreneurship at the rate of17.2%, and the educational background positively influenced the characteristics of entrepreneurship to the number of 16.5%. The conclusion of this study suggested that the students is expected to enhance the characteristics of entrepreneurship, therefore, they can behave teacherpreneurship in order to overcome the unemployment problems.
