Abstract

Kesiapan kerja adalah keseluruhan kondisi individu yang meliputi kematangan fisik, mental dan pengalaman serta adanya kemauan dan kemampuan serta pengetahuan untuk melaksanakan suatu pekerjaan. Kesiapan kerja siswa dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor diantaranya on the job training (ojt),minat kerja, dan bimbingan karir. Hasil observasi awal menunjukan bahwa kesiapan kerja siswa SMK N 1 Batang masih rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh on the job training (ojt),minat kerja, dan bimbingan karir terhadap kesiapan kerja siswa baik secara simultan maupun secara parsial. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XII SMK N 1 Batang yang berjumlah 363 siswa, dengan sampel berjumlah 79 siswa yang dihitung berdasarkan rumus Slovin dengan taraf kesalahan 10%. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan angket dan dokumentasi, sedangkan metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif dan analisis regresi berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa analisis regresi linier berganda diperoleh persamaan: Y = 9,370 + 0,472X1 + 0,262X2 + 0,433X3. Uji F yang diperoleh Fhitung = 33,416 dengan signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05, sehingga H1 diterima. Secara parsial (uji t) on the job training (ojt) (X1) diperoleh thitung = 4,391 dengan signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05, sehingga H2 diterima. Minat kerja (X2) diperoleh thitung = 2,259dengan signifikansi 0,027 < 0,05, sehingga H3 diterima. Bimbingan karir diperoleh thitung = 2,527 dengan signifikansi 0,014 < 0,05, sehingga H4 diterima. Secara simultan (R2) on the job training (ojt),minat kerja, dan bimbingan karir berpengaruh terhadap kesiapan kerja siswa sebesar 55,5%. Variabel yang memberikan pengaruh paling besar terhadap kinerja pegawai secara parsial adalah on the job training (ojt) yaitu sebesar 20,43%, sedangkan untuk minat kerja dan bimbingan karir berpengaruh lebih kecil yaitu masing-masing 6,35% dan 7,84%. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan on the job training (ojt),minat kerja, dan bimbingan karir terhadap kesiapan kerja siswa kelas XII SMK N 1 Batang baik secara simultan maupun parsial. Saran yang diberikan dalam penelitian ini adalah hendaknya on the job training (ojt) di lakukan ditempat yang tepat dan sesuai dengan bidang keahlian siswa, dan pada waktu yang tepat yaitu ketika siswa telah mendapat teori yang cukup untuk kemudian diaplikasikan selama kegiatan on the job training (ojt), perlu memberikan stimulasi minat bagi siswa agar siswa mulai menentukan minatnya setelah lulus, dan sekolah agar lebih memperbaiki pelayanan bimbingan karir bagi siswanya. Working readiness is the individual overall condition which covers the maturity of physical, mental, and experience as well as the willingness, ability and knowledge to work. On the one hand, students working readiness is influenced by several factors, namely on the job training (ojt), interest in work, and career guidance. Related to these facts, the initial observation showed that the working readiness of the students of SMK Negeri 1 Batang was low. Therefore, this study was attempted to examine the influence of on the job training (ojt), interest in work, and career guidance towards the students working readiness both simultaneously and partially. The population in this study were 363 students of the Twelfth Grade of SMK Negeri 1 Batang with the sample of 79 students counted by using Slovin formulae with the error level of 10%. Their data were collected through questionnaire and documentation, while the data analysis was done by employing descriptive analysis and multiple regression analysis. The results of data analysis showed that the linear multiple regression analysis got the equation: Y = 9,370 + 0,472X1 + 0,262X2 + 0,433X3. For more, the F test obtained Fcount = 33.416 with the significance of 0,000 <0,05, so H1 was accepted. Partially, the t test of on the job training (ojt) (X1) obtained tcount = 4,391 with significance of 0,000 <0,05, so H2 was accepted. Further, the interest in work (X2) got tcount = 2.259 with the significance of 0.027 <0.05, so, H3 was accepted. Next, career guidance (X3) obtained tcount = 2,527 with the significance of 0,014 <0,05, so H4 was accepted. Simultaneously (R2) on the job training (ojt), interest in work, and career guidance influenced the students working readiness as many as 55,5%. The most influential variable towards the employees performance, partially, was on the job training (ojt), namely 20,43%,while the interest in work and career guidance influenced smaller, namely 6,35% and 7,84%, respectively. This study concludes that there is a positive and significant influence of on the job training(ojt), interest in work, and career guidance towards the students working readiness in the Twelfth Grade of SMK Negeri 1 Batang both simultaneously and partially. Moreover, the researcher suggests that the on the job training (ojt) is supposed to be conducted appropriately based on students skills, suitable place and at the appropriate time as the students have already got enough theories to be implemented during on the job training (ojt). Also, there is a need to simulate students interest in order to make them start finding their interest after graduation, and the school should improve the career guidance service for students.
