Abstract

Geography learning activities in SMA Negeri 1 Godong still use the lecture, the process of student learning in the classroom is more passive in receiving the material, Student learning outcomes are still low with KKM 75, method with learning resources book.Learning methods that are less varied this resulted in students quickly bored and saturated in following the learning in the classroom. This study aimed to determine (1) the use of Kedung Ombo as an outdoor learning source study, (2) Results of learning outcomes of cognitive, affective, psychomotor and (3) factors that inhibit outdoor learning hydrosphere discussion study on the subject of tenth grades IPS in SMA N 1 Godong in academic years of 2017. This study used a quantitative method. The type of this study was pre-experimental design with one group pretest-posttest design. Data collection techniques used were observation, questionnaire, test and documentation. The population of this study was all students of class X IPS; they were 148 students. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling technique that is based on certain conditions. The sample was class X IPS 3 with the number of 36 students as the experimental class respondents. The result showed that the interest of the students towards learning by utilizing Kedung Ombo as learning resources otherwise high 80.62, while activity students both affective and psychomotor expressed high value 81.94 and 81.37. The average results of students in the experimental class that originally 57.55 increased to 77.11 and the results of analyzing the obstacle factors of implementing outdoor learning showed in terms of cost barriers questionnaire known 38% unencumbered, the distance was categorized 50% far enough, the time was categorized 47% quite effective, the physical condition was 50% quite capable and the security was categorized 75% safe. The results of this study showed there is an increasing in the results of cognitive, affective and psychomotor learning and the obstacle factors of implementing outdoor learning can be said to be resolved so that it can be concluded that learning by utilizing Kedung Ombo as a source of learning outdoor study can be applied as an effective alternative learning Geography outside the classroom. Suggestion in this research is 1) outdoor study method need to be applied by teacher as one of alternative in learning, specially on hidrosfer material, 2) Time management should be expected carefully so that outdoor learning study runs smoothly and in accordance with specified time allocation, 3 ) The road condition factors should be considered because it can be hampered in outdoor learning study.
