Abstract

Leptospirosis merupakan penyakit menular yang dapat mematikan. Pada tahun 2009 ditemukan 43 kasus leptospirosis dengan jumlah kematian 7 orang, sedangkan di Puskesmas Bonang I Demak ditemukan 6 dengan jumlah kematian 1. Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah apakah media film leptospirosis dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan Ibu-Ibu PKK di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Bonang I Demak tahun 2010. Tujuan yang ingin dicapai adalah untuk memberdayakan kelompok ibu-ibu PKK dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang leptospirosis di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Bonang I Demak tahun 2010. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu dengan Control Group Pretest-Postest. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah Ibu-Ibu PKK di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Bonang I Demak Tahun 2010. Sedangkan sampelnya sebanyak 60 orang, diambil dengan purposive sampling. Sampel tersebut dibagi menjadi dua kelompok, yaitu kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini adalah media film dan soal-soal test (kuesioner). Analisis data dilakukan secara Univariat dan Bivariat (menggunakan Uji Mann-Whitney dengan α=0,05). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapatkan hasil signifikasi atau nilai p pada hasil nilai selisih pretest dan posttest pada kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol adalah (0,185) lebih besar dari 0,05. Maka diperoleh hasil bahwa hipotesis nol (Ho) diterima dan hipotesis alternatif (Ha) ditolak. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa media film leptospirosis tidak efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu-ibu PKK di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Bonang I Demak tahun 2010, dengan nilai p 0,185 (p value > 0,05). Saran yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini adalah perlunya kerjasama antara dinas kesehatan dengan puskesmas setempat untuk mengadakan penyuluhan kepada warga tentang leptospirosis secara rutin agar angka kasus penyakit leptospirosis tidak meningkat di tahun-tahun berikutnya. Serta perlu dilakukan penelitian lanjutan untuk faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan kejadian leptospirosis, khususnya pada media penyampaian penelitian. -------------------------------------------------------> Leptospirosis is an infectious disease that can be deadly. The kind of research is quasi experiment with pretest-postest control group. Population in this study is the PKK member in the working area Puskesmas Bonang I Demak in 2010. While the sample of two groups: experimental and control groups. Instrument in this study is the medium of film and test questions (questionnaire). Univariate analysis of research data and bivariate (using Mann- Whitney test with α=0,05). Based on the results, the results of significance or p values at pretest and posttest result of the experimental and control group were (0,185) greater than 0,05. Result are obtained that the null hypothesis (Ho) is accepted and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is rejected. From the results of this study concluded that leptospirosis film media is not effective in improving knowledge of mothers PKK in working area of Puskesmas Bonang I Demak in 2010, with a p value of 0,185 (p value > 0,05). Suggestions proposed in this study is the need for cooperation between the local health department with a community health center to conduct counseling to residents of leptospirosis on a regular basis so that the number of leptospirosis cases was not increased in subsequent years, and further investigation is needed for the factors associated with the incidence of leptospirosis, particularly in the delivery of media research.
