Abstract

Salah satu penyakit akibat kerja yang ditimbulkan dari gerakan berulang adalah keluhan atau gangguan otot rangka atau yang lebih dikenal dengan istilah Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) salah satunya adalah Carpal Tunnel syndrome (CTS). Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kejadian Carpal Tunnel Syndrome dengan produktivitas pekerja wanita bagian sewing PT Maxmoda Indo Global Demak. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Cross sectional dengan populasi penelitian adalah seluruh pekerja wanita bagian sewing. Sampel sejumlah 92 orang dengan tehnik purposive sampling. Analisis data menggunakan uji chisquare dengan derajat kemaknaan (α) = 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara kejadian Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (p=0,027; RP=1,39) dengan produktivitas. Simpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu, ada hubungan antara kejadian Carpal Tunnel Syndrome dengan produktivitas pekerja wanita bagian sewing PT Maxmoda Indo Global Demak. Saran bagi pekerja bagian sewing yaitu melakukan senam pemanasan khususnya di area pergelangan tangan selama kurang lebih lima menit sebelum melakukan pekerjaan. This research is a cross-sectional study where all women workers at sewing section is the population. The sample of the study are 92 women with purposive sampling technique. This study uses chi-square test with significance level (α) = 0.05. The result shows that there is a relationship between the incidence of CTS (p = 0.027; RP = 1.39) with productivity. The researcher concludes that there is a relationship between the incidence of CTS with the population of the study. Workers at sewing section is suggested to do exercise, especially for the wrist area for approximately five minutes before doing their jobs
