Abstract
A French language has much of different characteristic than Indonesian language. French languages have different rules compared to Indonesia, even in terms of sentence structure or pronunciation. This research is a quantitative descriptive research, which has the purpose to determine linguistic difficulties encountered the problem and know how the teacher solve this problem. The respondents of this research were students of class XI Languages and Cultures SMA Negeri 2 Wonosobo. To collect data, researchers using questionnaires, interviews and documentation. Validity is the validity of the construction. To analyze the data using a percentage formula. The results are most studies have difficulty pronouncing and spelling difficulties as much as 50% of respondents still have difficulty pronouncing a word and 75% of respondents’ difficulties in spelling elements. And then to solve this problem the teacher give more task of spelling to the student which have a bad capability and bad comprehension.
