Abstract

The observation results in some schools in Timor Tengah Selatan (TTS) shows that student learning results obtained are still below the minimum completeness criteria ( KKM ). This is because the limitless of teachers’ in selecting appropriate methods in learning process, and there are many teachers who do not utilize the learning medium so the students feel bored and ultimately affect the students’ motivation and learning outcomes. This study aimed to analyze the effectiveness of cooperative learning STAD model, NHT and Conventional assisted with learning tools toward students’ motivation and learning outcomes about human respiratory system. The method used is Quasi- Experiment with design Nonequivalent control group design involving three classes, which use the model of STAD, NHT and Conventional. The data were analyzed using ANOVA test one lane at α = 0.05. The results showed that the average results of the study group STAD (36.47), NHT group (41.20) and Conventional (34.84) , show significant differences at the 0.05 significance level . The use of cooperative learning model NHT assisted with learning tools is more effectively improve students’ learning outcomes compared with STAD and conventional models. The average students’ motivation STAD class ( 50.20 ) , class NHT ( 52.07 ) and Conventional ( 50.11 ) , did not show a difference at a significance level of 0.05 thus be concluded that all three models applied learning did not affect students' motivation .
