Abstract
This research was aimed to develop of interdisciplinary approach in teaching learning history. The approach believed to be able to make the historical events that were examined to be “alive” and meaningful. This research was qualitative research design. The data collected through interview and observation. Data analyses used Milles and Huberman interactive models. From the research, it can be concluded that the conditions of teaching learning history in senior high school is still laden with use of lecture method that puts the achievement of mastery of the material by studens. The impact of learning the essence of history to shape the character of learners can not yet developed to the fullest. Learning history is loaded with recall process and provision of information from teachers without developing the meaning of an event history will only make the students do not have interest in historical subjects and less have sensitively to contemporary realities. The condition of teaching learning history can be improve by developing an interdisciplinary approach. A problem studied from various viewpoints. Utilization of an interdisciplinary approach in the study of history could make the historical events that were examined to be alive and meaningful. It’s just that the ability of teachers is critical to the success of learning with this model.
