Abstract

Wilayatul Faqih is an ideology that rised in the book entitled Hokumat-e Islami, Velayat-e Fiqhi by Imam Khomeini that presents an idea and it’s steps to manages a nation and it’s society, an ideal society that is ruled by the licensed clerics or jurist guardianship that is based on The Holy Qur’an, Hadist and Ijma’. Wilayatul Faqih is intended to guard the moral, social and intellectual of the society. It provides the real and brief steps to gain the heart and support of the Muslim. Nowadays, ideologies are presented in many ways, one of them is in film. In this research, the researcher tries to reveal the ideology which is reflected in the Aiman Dzghib film entitled The Life of Imam Khomeini. The object of ideology, which is being studied from this film, is Wilayatul Faqih and it’s role as the driver of Iranian Islamic Revolution. Since ideology usually deals with social matters, the approach used in this research is sociological approach. In analyzing this film, the researcher puts three main problems to be answered. Firstly, how is Wilayatul Faqih implemented as found in The Life of Imam Khomeini film? Secondly, how is the implementation of Wilayatul Faqih beneficial to the Islamic Iranian Revolution as described in the object of study? Finally, How is Wilayatul Faqih possible to be implemented in Indonesia? The researcher uses qualitative method in conducting this research. Since the method is qualitative, the form of data are in the form of words, phrases, sentences etc. Data collection was done through several steps. The steps are reading, searching the key word, identifying, and classifying. The data were collected through appendices. Appendix A is the list of the overall data. Appendix B1 is list of the classified data, answering problem 1. Appendix B2 is the list of classified data, answering problem 2. Appendix B3 is the list of classified data, answering problem 3. The classified data were then analysed using theories drawn with sociological approach. The result of the study are that Wilayatul Faqih proven to be the main instrument to unite all of Islamic group in Iran in order to revolt the immoral monarchy. It is considered effective to solve the social problems that is caused by the difference conclusion of Ijtihad (an attempt to formulate the Islamic law and movement) and unites all of Indonesian Islamic group to solve the moral, intellectual, and social (monetary) problems in Indonesia. It also shows the importance of socio-religious capital city to unite all of the Islamic groups. It is implemented by Darwis (Proselytizing by foot to collect Khumus or Shia spiritual fund) system that is guarded by the licensed clerics. The Life of Imam Khomeini film is attempting to prove “Islam” as the answer of every social problems.
