Abstract

Kebutuhan air minum di banyak negara di dunia tidak sama antara yang satu dengan yang lainnya, di negara maju lebih banyak memerlukan air minum daripada di negara berkembang. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui hubungan antara tempat pengisian air, proses pengisian air dan hygiene perorangan dengan keberadaan Escherichia coli pada depot air minum isi ulang di Kecamatan Karangawen Kabupaten Demak tahun 2013. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian explanatory research dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Total populasi sebagai sampel sebanyak 30 depot air minum. Analisis data secara univariat dan bivariat dengan uji Fisher’s. Hasil uji Fisher’s diperoleh tempat pengisian air (p = 0,001), proses pengisian air (p = 0,007) dan hygiene perorangan (p = 0,005) dengan keberadaan Escherichia coli, nilai p lebih kecil dari 0,05 maka Ha diterima. Simpulannya adalah ada hubungan antara tempat pengisian air, proses pengisian air dan hygiene perorangan dengan keberadaan Escherichia coli pada depot air minum isi ulangSaran diajukan kepada: (1) Puskesmas, sebagai masukan untuk meningkatkan pengawasan dan pembinaan terhadap depot air minum isi ulang; (2) Pengusaha dan Karyawan, sebagai bahan informasi pengusaha dan karyawan agar memperhatikan prosedur pengisian air minum dan hygiene perorangan; (3) Penulis, dapat menambah pengetahuan mengenai hubungan antara tempat pengisian air, proses pengisian air, dan hygiene perorangan dengan keberadaan Escherichia coli pada depot air minum isi ulang; (4) Konsumen, sebaiknya konsumen membeli air minum isi ulang di depot yang mendapat sertifikat uji laboratorium dari Dinas Kesehatan yang menyatakan hasil nol atau negatif dari Escherichia coli. Needs of drinking water in many countries in the world are not equal to one another, in developed countries require more water than in developing countries. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between the water charging, the charging process water and personal hygiene with the presence of Escherichia coli in drinking water depot refill on Demak Karangawen district in 2013. This research was explanatory research with cross sectional approach. The total population of the 30 samples of drinking water depot. Data analysis using univariate and bivariate with the Fisher’s test. Fisher’s test obtained where water filling (p = 0.001), the charging process water (p = 0.007) and personal hygiene (p = 0.005) with the presence of Escherichia coli, p value less than 0.05 then Ha is accepted. The conclusion was there were a relationship between the water charging, the charging process water and personal hygiene with the presence of Escherichia coli in drinking water depot refill on Demak Karangawen district in 2013. Suggestions are made to: (1) Public Health Center, as input to improve oversight and guidance to the depot refill drinking water; (2) The employer and employees, as the information to employer and employees depot drinking water refill to pay attention to drinking water filling procedures and personal hygiene attention is inside of employees; (3) The authors, to add knowledge the relationship between the water filling, water filling process, and personal hygiene; (4) The consumer, the consumer should buy drinking water refill in depots had been certified with laboratorium test from Department of Health stating zero or negative outcome of the bacterium Escherichia coli.
